Red Hotel was founded in 2008 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, at a time when the city's tech and industrial sector was beginning to attract significant international investment. We saw a gap: companies were sending project teams to Cluj, but the only accommodation options were hotels — expensive, impersonal, and not designed for stays longer than a few nights.
We built our first apartments specifically for professionals on long-term assignments. Dedicated workspaces, full kitchens, gigabit WiFi, and a self-check-in system that doesn't require a front desk. The goal was to give business travelers the independence of a home with the reliability of a managed service.
Today, we operate 11 apartments across three central Cluj-Napoca locations, all within walking distance of the city's major employers: Bosch, Emerson, Endava, and Genpact. We work directly with HR departments and relocation coordinators, providing company contracts, legal invoicing, and a predictable cost structure.
